Crouse’s Employee Pharmacy team is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to assist the pharmacist in the activities related to medication order entry, processing, and delivery. Operates cash register competently and handles direct patient contact. Pay Range: $20.66 - $30.72 Available Schedule(s): Per diem scheduled as needed (department is open Monday-Friday) Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilities: Assists in functions associated with filling outpatient prescriptions. Accurately enters medication information from the prescription into the computer. Note: Pharmacist verification required Enters pertinent patient information (allergies, age) correctly. Accurately refills prescriptions when appropriate. Sets up medications to be checked and dispensed by the pharmacist at the dispensing counter. Note: Pharmacist verification required. Bags prescriptions already verified by the pharmacist and places them in pick up area. Operates cash register accurately Evaluates stock status Pharmacy Assistant Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year Pharmacy experience required. National Certification (CPhT) is preferred. Must be able to pass a departmentally administered math exam with a grade of 75%.
