BJC HealthCare, a leading non‑profit health care organization headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a Part Time Clinical Triage Nurse to join its Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide telephone and virtual triage to patients across BJC’s hospitals and care centers, helping ensure that individuals receive timely, appropriate, and safe care. Working within a collaborative, patient-centered environment, you will use evidence‑based protocols and your clinical judgment to assess symptoms, review medical histories, and determine the appropriate level of care, including home care guidance, same‑day appointments, urgent care, or emergency department referral. As a Clinical Triage Nurse, you will conduct structured assessments, ask focused clinical questions, and use critical thinking to prioritize patient needs and identify red‑flag symptoms. You will document all encounters clearly and accurately in the electronic health record, coordinate with physicians and advanced practice providers, and escalate high‑risk or complex cases as needed. Education and reassurance are core parts of this position: you will provide patients and families with clear instructions regarding symptom management, medications, follow‑up care, and when to seek additional help.
