We’re an entrepreneurial bankruptcy law firm seeking an organized, compassionate bankruptcy attorney who can help clients reclaim control of their financial lives. Responsibilities Thoroughly review client files to ensure financial situations are accurately reflected in bankruptcy documents. Identify potential issues and develop strategy to assist clients in preparing to file for bankruptcy. Provide counseling on pre‑filing strategy and process, ensuring clients understand options. Oversee case pipeline progress to detect bottlenecks before they happen and prevent stalling. Meticulously review bankruptcy documents prepared by the team to confirm accuracy and compliance with the code and local rules. Review and finalize Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 means tests and Chapter 13 plans in accordance with relevant laws and local rules. Respond to motions and objections and review proofs of claims. Ensure all case deadlines are met. Manage a small team (2‑3 attorneys) to provide quality, knowledgeable, and compassionate service. Regularly report case statuses, issues, and questions to a managing attorney. Communicate with clients via email, phone, or Zoom to address case issues, review cases, prepare clients for 341 meetings, and more. Attend 341 meetings of creditors and other hearings as required; some may be in person. Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Texas. Admitted to practice in Federal Court; admission to districts in Texas preferred. At least eighteen months of experience as a bankruptcy attorney managing clients, case preparation, and post‑filing tasks. Proficient in Chapter 7; Chapter 13 experience preferred but not required. Location & Travel This position is primarily remote, but attorneys are expected to appear in court in person in Austin, San Antonio, and Waco occasionally.
