Our client in the Milwaukee area is looking for a Tax Manager . This client is looking for someone with 10+ years of tax experience, CPA highly preferred with a desire to own and manage an accounting firm.

The Tax Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and perform detailed reviews of business and individual tax returns
• Deliver proactive tax planning strategies and advice to clients throughout the year
• Oversee monthly bookkeeping activities and ensure accuracy of financial statements
• Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with clients, providing business advisory support as needed
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate with team members handling outsourced accounting and bookkeeping projects
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

The Tax Manager will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
• 10+ years of tax and/or accounting experience.
• CPA - highly preferred
• Desire to own and manage an accounting firm
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
