  • Developing and implementing comprehensive PR strategies for Versace USA, in alignment with Versace’s Global strategy.
  • Leveraging existing editorial relationships to ensure return on investment in terms of editorial coverage.
  • Developing cohesive pitches that delivering targeted messages to secure significant press coverage, feature stories, and organic social media exposure.
  • Establishing strategic media relations plans for product launches.
  • Strategizing new and creative programs that will achieve measurable results and fulfill global communications objectives.
  • Acting as an effective advocate for PR priorities and initiatives; proactively seeking out brand positioning opportunities to further promote Versace as a top luxury lifestyle brand.
  • Building a network of press and influencer relationships; maintaining an organized database of contacts to streamline the planning and pitching process.
  • Overall management of the PR department’s budget; creating specific budgets for PR initiatives; effectively delegating to ensure that all PR-related invoices are logged and submitted on a timely basis.
  • Producing all weekly, monthly, and yearly PR reports.
  • Staying well-informed regarding PR best practices and tools, including changes in the media landscape and social media innovations, and implementing them into current systems and processes.
  • Overseeing, coaching, and developing the skills and abilities of the PR Manager and PR Coordinator.

Experience & Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing or communications.
  • 7+ years of work experience in PR and events management within the fashion/luxury goods sector.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing PR strategies that drive measurable business results.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the media landscape, including relevant print publications, social media trends, influencers, etc., as well as extensive editorial contact list and excellent working relationships with key media contacts and VIPs.
  • Proven entrepreneurial and creative skills to think beyond traditional PR approaches.
  • Strong managerial skills and ability to coach direct reports confidently and effectively.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and working knowledge of Fashion GPS and other PR tools.
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling and willing to travel extensively.
  • Must be a passionate, energetic, team-oriented individual with strong analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
