Saint Patrick Catholic School (SPCS) is a PreK-8 Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Seattle. The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate a commitment to working with a talented and motivated student population and faculty. SPCS fosters, amongst its administrators, faculty members, staff, and students, a commitment to embrace and celebrate the diversity of the school's family and the broader community.
Counselor: This role involves providing individual and group counseling, implementing social-emotional learning programs, supporting students in crisis, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a nurturing school environment rooted in Catholic values. The counselor will also coordinate with external resources, lead parent education workshops, and contribute to a school culture of empathy and inclusion. Candidates should have a master's degree in counseling or a related field, with a preference for those holding a Washington State ESA certification and experience in Catholic education.

Qualifications/Competencies: - Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with PreK-8 students in a school counseling setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and behavioral interventions.
- Knowledge of Catholic teachings and a commitment to fostering a faith-filled school environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Relationships Reporting Working - Works with the Principal, Vice Principal, Diverse Learning Strategist, parents, students, faculty & staff, and the SPCS community
Start Date: August 26, 2026
Salary Range: $69,826 - $104,163
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
Full-time position with benefits (see below).
Those with direct Catholic education experience will be prioritized.
