Job Description

About the Role As a plasma donor screener and phlebotomist at BioLife, you will work primarily in a part‑time capacity (4‑6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week). Your duties include answering phones, greeting donors, screening donors, recording vital signs and finger‑stick results, managing the Donor Information System, maintaining accurate records, coordinating donor compensation, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. You will also support a flexible schedule, working shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as needed. Responsibilities Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring donor and team safety. Screen new and repeat donors and record vital signs and finger‑stick results. Use the Donor Information System to prepare charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation. Help identify operational improvement opportunities and implement changes to center processes per approved procedures. Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (4‑6 hour shifts). Confirm availability, receive advance notice of schedule changes, and maintain reliability during scheduled hours. Prior to assignment, discuss shift days and times and provide timely updates if schedules change. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift. Flexible schedule, with willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees. Ability to lift up to 5 lbs regularly, up to 32 lbs occasionally, and rarely up to 50 lbs. Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance. One or more years of experience working in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful. Willingness to comply with exposure precautions (risk level 1 bloodborne pathogens, prolonged glove wear). Compensation & Benefits U.S. starting hourly wage: $16.00, subject to local minimum wage requirements. Eligible for short‑term incentives.
