The Department of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks a dynamic career-oriented physician to join the faculty of the Division of Endocrinology. Candidates who have successfully completed a fellowship and are board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology will be considered. The physician will be responsible for both inpatient and outpatient clinical care as well as teaching in the undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education programs at the institution. The physician will further engage in scholarly and outreach activities. The physician would join three full-time faculty members in the division who provide 24/7 coverage for the inpatient consultation service, as well as provide consultation services in the ambulatory practice.

The Department of Pediatrics is composed of 124 full-time and more than 200 volunteer faculty members, organized into 18 divisions covering all of the pediatric subspecialties in conjunction with four key surgical services. The department is undergoing a renaissance following the integration of the medical school with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and the recent merger of two major health systems to form RWJ Barnabas. The outpatient services are located in the Rutgers Child Health Institute of NJ (CHINJ), and practices located in Edison, Somerset, and East Brunswick. CHINJ is a state-of-the-art facility that includes a Pediatric CRC, Pediatric subspecialty offices, and a modern research facility. Our New Brunswickbased clinical programs have achieved Accredited Status for Ambulatory Health Care by the Joint Commission, one of only a small number of academic ambulatory practices with this status. The inpatient clinical services of the division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition are conducted at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Childrens Hospital (BMSCH) of the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. This is a 105-bed acute care hospital for children with a dedicated endoscopy suite located on the only pediatric academic health campus in the state of New Jersey. The BMSCH is ranked as one of Americas Best Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report. Adjacent to the RWJ Barnabas Bristol-Myers Squibb Childrens hospital is the PSE&G Childrens Specialized Hospital, which is one of the countrys largest inpatient acute rehabilitation facilities for children. Across the street is the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ the only NCI designated center in the state of New Jersey.
