Port St. Lucie, FL, US Job Summary The Concierge serves as the initial point of contact for residents, families, vendors, and visitors. The role ensures a professional, welcoming experience while maintaining reception area operations, phone calls, security logs, and message handling. Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional personal presentation. Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or by phone; answer or refer inquiries. Answer the phone within 3 rings and determine the nature of the call to either relay information or route as appropriate. Takes detailed messages with name, date, time, and return phone number. Ensures team members receive phone messages promptly. Maintain knowledge of who is available to receive inquiries or host a tour. Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring logbooks, and logging visitor sign‑in and sign‑out. Maintain a safe and clean reception, lobby, and Welcome Room in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations. Receive and sort mail for the Leadership Team. Maintain the yearly transportation book for residents’ doctor appointments as necessary. Communicate with the Driver at least 24 hours in advance regarding resident appointment dates and times. Report all accidents and incidents to your supervisor as soon as possible, no matter how minor. Maintain the confidentiality of residents’ personal care information. Honor residents’ personal and property rights. Wear the company uniform and be resident‑ready at all times. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of computers and relevant software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook. Effective communication with all levels of management, team members, residents, families, vendors, referral sources, and outside contacts. Ability to make independent decisions. Excellent interpersonal skills; warm, friendly, and caring communication style. Passion for working with and around senior citizens. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years’ Concierge/Front Desk Receptionist experience in a customer‑service oriented industry. Physical and Environmental Requirements Must sit 75% of the day. Must concentrate with frequent interruptions. Must work under stress and in emergency situations. Requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping. Must talk and hear effectively to convey messages, instructions, and information to residents and team members. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Work in all community areas; exposure to dust, disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions. Required to use personal protective equipment (infection control kit, rubber gloves, non‑slip shoes). Follow safety policies and procedures.
